Chief Executive OfficerMr. Slater is an entrepreneur who has founded numerous companies and been involved in the mining industry for over twenty-five years. Previously, Mr. Slater was the Managing Partner of both Ernst & Young’s Canadian and Arthur Andersen’s Central Asian Mining Practices. Mr. Slater is a Chartered Accountant.

Sunil Sharma
Chief Financial OfficerMr. Sharma has over 20 years of experience in finance and accounting with public and private companies, having started his career in public practice. He has extensive experience in producing mines and mineral exploration companies. He has held progressively senior accounting positions at copper producers Huckleberry Mines and Taseko Mines Limited. Most recently, he held the position of Controller at Trilogy Metals Inc., a NYSE-American listed mineral exploration company, where he was responsible for all aspects of financial reporting and compliance. Mr. Sharma holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Simon Fraser University and is a Chartered Professional Accountant.

Dan Macneil MSc, PGeo
Vice President-ExplorationEconomic Geologist specializing in Precious and Base Metals with over 19 years of experience from Continental scale project generation to in-mine resource expansion in a wide variety of geological settings in the Americas, Europe, Eastern Europe and the Near East. His expertise includes project evaluation, target and opportunity identification, exploration strategy, district entry strategy, business development, strategic evaluation of geologic terranes and execution of target testing. Mr. MacNeil is the Founder of Vector Geological Solutions.

Michelle Borromeo
Vice President Investor RelationsMs. Borromeo has over 15 years of experience in the natural resources and renewable energy industries. Prior to joining Zacapa, she held the position of Vice President Corporate Development at Mars Investor Relations where she managed numerous mining client companies. She has led the Investor Relations and Corporate Communications efforts for Chakana Copper Corp, Miller Energy Resources, and for Fission Uranium, which was acquired by Denison mines. Ms. Borromeo started her career working as a field biologist, which included performing reclamation/remediation site assessments and preparing Emergency Response Plans for Oil & Gas companies. She holds a BSc. in Biology and Minor in Geology from Simon Fraser University.

Melissa Martensen
Corporate SecretaryMelissa Martensen is an experienced administrator with over 12 years as a corporate secretary, primarily in junior mining companies. Prior to transitioning to junior mining, she worked in private banking at RBC. Ms. Martensen graduated with a degree in finance from UNBC in Prince George. She is a member of the Governance Professionals of Canada.

Alex Yard
PGEO – Exploration ManagerProfessional exploration geologist focused on gold and base metal deposits. Alex has been actively involved in and led the design, implementation and management of exploration programs in various geological environments. His previous exploration work includes McEwen Mining’s expansion of the Grey Fox and Froome deposits, Wesdome Gold Mines Moss Lake Project and most recently AUX Resources’ various Golden Triangle projects.

Marc Boissonneault
DirectorMr. Boissonneault was formerly Head of Global Nickel Assets for Glencore where he oversaw the operations and major capital projects of the nickel business. With over 30 years experience in the mining and metals industry, operations under his responsibility were recognized for industry leading safety performance (multiple John T.Ryan Awards in Canada) and have performed to the highest standards environmentally. Along with fostering productive relationships with top government officials in multiple jurisdictions, he ensured the cultivation of constructive relations with associated aboriginal communities internationally. Mr. Boissonneault led the development of key business opportunities in the form of new geological discoveries, early-stage capital project developments and collaborative mine agreements between mining companies.

Jay Sujir
DirectorMr. Sujir is a securities and natural resources lawyer who has twenty-three years of experience in advising and assisting public companies. He is a senior partner with Farris, Vaughan, Wills & Murphy LLP. Mr. Sujir is a member of the Law Society of British Columbia, the Canadian Bar Association, and the British Columbia Advisory Committee of the TSX Venture Exchange.

Dr. Alan J. Wainwright PhD, PGeo
Technical AdvisorDr. Wainwright is an economic geologist with 20+ years of mineral exploration and research experience in North America, South America, Europe and Asia, focused on base metals and gold. Alan completed his PhD with Ivanhoe Mines at Oyu Tolgoi (Mongolia) and was a co-recipient of the H.H. Spud Huestis award for his role in the Coffee gold discovery (5 Moz Au; Yukon). Alan was the program leader for the industry sponsored Western Tethyan Metallogeny Project at MDRU (UBC) where the research team built new geologic and mineral exploration frameworks for the Balkans, Turkey and Caucasus. Dr. Wainwright is a Professional Geoscientist (PGeo; EGBC) and a Fellow of the Society of Economic Geologists.
